I moved to DC from New York City May 2017. I'm a huge foodie, and NYC is a foodie's paradise. However, as a college student, I didn't always have the budget to try all of the restaurants on my radar.
After I moved to D.C. and started earning a real income, the restaurant world was my oyster. New restaurants opened every month, and I couldn't keep track of everywhere I wanted to eat. I've always been a little neurotic with my organization methods (I still keep a paper planner, which I color code), so naturally I turned to Google My Maps for help.
My boyfriend (whom I'm branding the bun bo bae's bun bo bae) loves using this map. It makes date nights stress free since he knows he can't go wrong choosing a restaurant off of the map.
Many of my friends also asked for the map so they could impress their dates. Even the bae's coworkers are interested (shoutout to the bae for constantly bragging about my little blog to anyone who will listen).
Suddenly, I'm now the resident DC Date Night expert. So, I've made the map public so it can improve date nights everywhere!
Map legend
The map is conveniently color coded by price level. I've starred the places I've been to before and can personally recommend. I'll start posting reviews here in the future, and link back to the reviews in the map as well. You'll see that most of the places are moderately priced ($11-$30), but there's a good selection of fancier restaurants and very expensive special occasion restaurants as well as cheaper cafes and bistros that would make a great casual date spot.
Whether or not you've got a bunch of first dates planned or you're looking for a nice anniversary spot, I hope this map proves helpful!
